After you have registered, here is what you can expect.

#1 WATCH YOUR INBOX

From time to time, you will receive emails from us (HumanInsightsplace) with links to surveys. These surveys are either

screeners to recruit for studies : you will be asked a few questions to determine if you qualify for an upcoming study (the description of the study will always be given).
surveys to know you better: having answers to the questions of these surveys, we will start creating groups of people with a certain profile, enabling us to send you only relevant studies.
surveys to collect feedback on certain ideas, or to know more about how you use certain products, or to learn if or why you would buy this or that item.

#2 RESPOND FAST IF YOU ARE INTERESTED TO PARTICIPATE

Studies might fill up quickly, so the faster you respond, the better! Best is to click on the link and give your answers as soon as you open the email. For every invite, you'll see an estimate on how long it will take you to fill out the survey.

#3 QUALIFYING FOR A STUDY

It might be that the researcher is looking for potential participants with a certain profile. If your answers to the screening questions do not match the profile the research team is looking for, the survey will end with a statement like: "Thank you for completing our survey ! Unfortunately, your profile doesn't match the criteria we're looking for."

If you do make it till the end of the survey, there are several ways of being selected/scheduled to participate in the research :

be directed to select an appointment time immediately as part of the screener survey.
receive a follow-up email/phone call with more study details (or an extra question) to help ensure you are the right candidate for the test and you will be able to fully participate.
be called to discuss the study requirements in more detail so that you can decide if you wish to participate

Sometimes, the profile is not strictly defined and the research team will select "best fit candidates" (usually a well balanced mix of different types of people they're looking for) for the test. So it might be that the screener ends with "Thank you for completing our survey ! If you get selected to participate in the study, you'll hear from us <time frame specified> to confirm your participation to the test !". If you don't hear from us within the specified time frame, it means you are not selected to participate in that specific study.

#4 BEING SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN A STUDY

Once qualified and scheduled you will always receive a confirmation email with all study details (time, place, reminders, etc.). If you have any questions/concerns about the study, use the contact details that will be provided in that confirmation email or the contact details that will be given to you at the start of the study.

#5 COMPENSATION

For each screener survey you fill out, you can earn 25 credits.

As of 500 credits, you can redeem your credits against vouchers/gifts (depending on your country settings).

For non-screener surveys or other researches (in-person or online), we will inform you upfront on how you will be able to help us, what's expected from you for that specific study and how you will be compensated for it ! Depending on the effort needed, you can either win a ticket for a lottery we'll organize amongst participants, you will be rewarded with free product or you will be rewarded with credits.
